Hello Friends,

This is a very big step for me.  I never, EVER thought I would have anything to do with a website or blog.    I always thought that blogs were for others to write and for me to read.  Well, I guess I was wrong.

I am going to push forward and tell you a few details about myself.

  • My name is Elva.
  • I have been married to a wonderful guy for almost 39 years.  I have two daughters and four grandchildren, one boy and three girls.  ( I will tell you right now, girls are NOT easier than boys.)
  • I have been a Stampin' Up Demonstrator for several years.  I absolutely love to create, stamp, and enjoy my efforts.  This business started out as a beloved hobby and has grown.  I now want to share creativity with others.
  • I love to read.  Some favorite authors are:  James Patterson, Janet Evanovich, Iris Johansen, and many others.
  • I volunteer for Hospice of the Miami Valley in Xenia, Ohio.  (I love all those people who work for Hospice of the Miami Valley and all the patients.)
As you may have noticed in the list above,  My Family Comes First!!!  No matter what is going on in my life, if my family needs me, I am there for them.  Making my family happy is a great joy in my life.  Maybe that is why I love to stamp and make cards.  I am always making something for an occasion or just for the fun of it.  My cards are always well received and appreciated by the recipients.  Making my own cards guarantees that the sentiment is just what I want and that the card is unique.

(OK, I think that is a good way to segue into my next topic.)

I am moving outside my comfort zone and realizing a goal that I have been considering for a couple of years.  I am going to start scheduling classes and workshops for card making and stamping techniques.  (These techniques can be used for card making, scrapbooking, wall art, etc.)

Stampin' Up is a company that specializes in stamping supplies.  They have catalogs with supplies and ideas for the uses of those supplies.

One thing I really love about this company is that all the Stampin' Up colors coordinate.  All the papers, card stock, ribbon, buttons, ink, etc. all coordinate with each other.  This makes it really easy to make some pretty spectacular projects.

Well, I am going to step down from my soap box and hope that I didn't do this for nothing.  I am not sure this will even make it onto the site.  I just wish I knew a little more about this newfangled stuff.

Hopefully you are reading this and want to learn more about my classes and card making.

Happy Stamping!
Fondly,
Elva
